Session 2 – Powering Cultural Transformation:

What structures realistically can be changed?

This session builds on Roundtable 1, giving housing practitioners an opportunity to have a deep and critical look at what systems can be transformed in order to remove racial barriers and to improve outcomes.

Desired Outcomes:
● For housing practitioners to explore and to determine which legal and financial traditions and policy regulations could be overturned or de-legitimized (such as using credit checks and criminal background checks in rental housing applications).
● Ensuring housing is accessible to New Americans and Vermonters for whom English language proficiency is low.
