Session 4 – Building Home Equity and Generational Wealth

This session is designed to engage housing practitioners in a discussion of strategies for expanding access of homeownership to households of racially marginalized individuals and families, closing the racial homeownership gap and building meaningful strategies that promote lasting economic well-being.

Desired Outcomes:

● Discussion about how to de-commodify housing in our commercial-based housing system.
● Understanding what gets in the way of housing organizations making such changes.
● Explore a future that includes a radical right to a home with or without ownership.
